Graphic Design / Pre-Press Services

Colourscan's workflow software and systems ensure that consistent and accurate results are achieved, from receival of electronic files to proof through to printing. We employ a team of graphic designers, layout artists, colour management specialists and scanner operators. A particular client is assigned to an individual team member and in most cases they will be handled by the same operator, ensuring consistency of product.

Where art is required to be set and built, or alterations made to existing files, a brief is taken by the relevant Account Manager who then liaises with the customer service personnel as well as the pre-press manager to ensure we achieve the desired result first time. All pre-press processes are completed in-house, again ensuring consistent results time after time.

All of our proofs are generated post-rip, ensuring that what you see on the proof appears on the printed sheet. For colour critical jobs, we proof using the latest version of Black Magic Software which has been calibrated to match our press and ink profiles.

Colourscan also provides a full-size mock-up or folded sample to ensure fit and all die cuts and folds are correct. When the client approves the proofs, the signed proof accompanies the work through the entire production process and on to despatch.

Colourscan currently works with a number of clients and design agencies who have their own in-house design and art facilities. We work closely with them to ensure a quality product from concept to completed result. We have gone as far as integrating our press profiles into their high end proofing device to ensure the colour accuracy is consistent throughout the entire development of the creative campaign.

We also offer a colour correction service, creating colour-accurate libraries for our customers to use in their projects ensuring the results they achieve are consistent throughout their product range.
